Welp! That’s great! Gonna rant now!
AS USUAL WHAT ELSE IS NEWBefore he was 8, things were fine and dandy and he’s a happy adorable snotrag!
He isin’t treated any differently and if he is, he’s too young to notice at the time.
He’s 10. He’s talented at creating animation…
The night smells exhilarating; its air wraps around me like a promise, filled with possibility, with adventure, with fierceness. I am transported back to high school, to late nights past curfew when all seemed wild, exotic, mysterious. The smell of grey water on the crisp air invigorates me,…
Ugh. Super anxious tonight, between my practically dead computer that hurts to use (I have to literally crank on the screen with one hand to see anything, due to dying hardware), my mysteriously unrecognizable external hard drive, apartment hunting, remembering how expensive moving is, remembering…
Some days I wish my father just… would never wake up again.
It would be a lot easier, in a lot of ways.
Because then we’d never have to worry about him again. No more wondering when he’s gonna lose a leg from not exercising and not taking his diabetes medication. No more wondering if he’s not gonna take his bipolar medication, if he’s going to be charming or he’s going to be a screaming lunatic or he’s going to be so gray and depressed that he just sleeps or snarls. No more worrying that he’s such a huge drain on my mom, emotionally, financially. No more worrying he’s going to kill himself with a knife, or with simple self-neglect.
Some days.
Recent photo of a little boy visiting the White House. He wanted to feel Obama’s hair because he wanted to know if the President’s hair felt just like his. Obama obliged. Priceless.
I’m crying.
All the tears.
So many feelings.
I don’t care if I’ve reblogged this before, you can see it again because it’s awesome.

Blue Pond, Hokkaido
Photo: Kent ShiraishiThe “blue pond” of the famous tourist resort in Biei, Hokkaido, Japan is a place where many tourists gather in spring, summer, and autumn. However, since this pond freezes in winter, nobody is there during that period. This photograph was taken during the first snow of the season as it fell over the blue pond.
